About the winemakers...

In 2005, twenty-seven years after its founding in the heart of Napa Valley, the Dickson family moved winery operations to Emeryville, California and now celebrates the progressive nature of the urban wine experience. Mere hours after being picked off the vines, tons of prized Napa Valley grapes are hauled over Highway 80 to their urban winery, housed in a former WWII submarine repair facility near Oakland. Among the meandering interstate roadways, these bright bins of purple love bring the farm to market, and the dirt to the city, where it connects us all.

More about the winemakers...
Andrew Dickson grew up in the Napa Valley wine country. While not formerly trained, Drew apprenticed under his father David Dickson who has produced award winning Napa Valley wines in the eastern foothills for over 30 years. The Andrew Lane Winery portfolio is a showcase of Drew's fresh fruit style "bright, bold and beautiful like a Hollywood Movie". Most of his wines involve some degree of whole berry or whole cluster fermentation.

Having attended High School in St. Helena, California many long lasting relationships with second generation grape growers were cultivated primarily through football and baseball. Andrew Lane Winery now sources some of the finest fruit Napa Valley has to offer. Recently the winery has made strides into the Rutherford AVA and is honored to be working with world class Cabernet fruit from Manley Lane and the Saunder's Estate in Oakville.
